How careers are changing
The careers that are considered cool and desirable now didn’t exist 20 years ago! Most of our parents have worked for 2 or 3 different employers during their entire career. Loyalty to companies was expected and given. Today’s graduates are likely to have 10 – 12 different roles before the age of 40 with a number of different employers – often working in loose collaboration with other experts who assemble to tackle a specific project before moving off to do other stuff. It’s going to be fun, but it is a world of work that will require flexibility, a broad range of skills and it will lack the safety blankets that traditional employers provided.
